The Starting of Installation:
For one product, there are three different packages with different bottle sizes. Normally in a workshop there are three different lines for packaging, each line for one size.

The Challenges:
With each request, operators must perform the following operations:

* Choose the packaging line

* Change line if the bottles size changes

* Load the bottles to be filled on the choosing line

* All lines must be set up again according to the product

If the bottle size changes one time AGAIN, GIRARDIN must install a new packaging line. What is the cost of installation? What are we going to do with the other 3 lines?

Our Solution:
STAI proposes the solution with PLC with Panel View. This solution integrates three packaging lines’ operations into one. The line monitor will automatically select the bottle size. The whole process is programmed and controlled by a PLC and visualized by Panel View. The PLC controls the Servo-positions, the solenoid valves and the frequency variators. Depending on the product, the product line will choose the bottle size automatically. On the same line several programs can be progressed for fill the bottles, place the cap and close the bottle simultaneously. The Panel View allows of a new product code entry and visualizes the line’s operation and performance. The errors of functions are clearly displayed and allow the operator to correct them quickly.

Result:

There is only one high performance packaging line. The machines are pre-set adapting the type of bottle will be used. GIRARDIN Packaging will reduce production costs by limiting the labor cost. Also automation line will reduce human errors and guarantee the safe operation.

Remoted control one installation

The Starting of installation:

One maintenance industrial company must monitor sensitive installations over the France and abroad. The company is responsible for keeping operations in the installation sites.

The Challenges:

For daily work, technicians must go to each site.

– To check the operation

– To read process data

– To change the settings

– To analyze the alarms since the last visit

Our solution:

We offer one solution of remote connectivity with data histories. A modem is installed in the electrical cabinets in connection with the control PLCs. One web connection is required and secured by a VPN.

Result:

Every day the technician can consult the various sites remotely and can organize his working day. He can check target values and identify alarms for maintenance prevention.
